Over the last 15 years the way we use data has dramatically changed and there has been no new legislation since 2003 in response to this. The new General
Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into effect on Friday, May 25th 2018 - increasing your rights and giving you much more control over your personal data.
Hi, I’m Karen Grimes. I have been working as a massage and reflexology therapist for over 12 years.
I believe in living a balanced, calm and fulfilled life. Transparency is key. And in that light, I want to reassure you that the utmost consideration is given to the data I collect and how I store and dispose of it. Your privacy is paramount.
1) Your contact details such as your name, email and phone numbers:
~ Your email will be used to share such information as special offers, new services, upcoming events and general information. You can “opt-out” from receiving these emails at any time. I will not contact you without your permission.
~ Your email will also be used to send out receipts for insurance purposes.
~ Your phone number will be used to send out a reminder before each treatment.
2) Your general health and medical history:
So I can attain an accurate understanding of your overall well being and determine the most beneficial treatment plan.
3) Cookies & Google Analytics:
To help me understand and improve your website experience.
I am the only person who will have access to general information such as your contact name, email and phone number. If I am facilitating a course, talk or workshop then I will share your contact and other relevant details with the therapist, instructor or facilitator who will provide the service. Also, if there is a need to refer you to another complementary therapist, I will disclose certain information but only with your permission. I will not share information about you with anyone else. All your data is stored in the Republic of Ireland and we do not share your information outside of the EU.

traffic or lets you know when you visit a particular site. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual. The web application can tailor
its operations to your needs, likes and dislikes by gathering and remembering information about your preferences.
Traffic log cookies are used to identify which pages are being used. This helps analyse data about web page traffic and improve my website in order to tailor it to my customers' needs. This information is only used for statistical analysis purposes and then the data is removed from the system. Overall, cookies help me provide you with a better website, by enabling me to monitor which pages you find useful and which you do not. A cookie in no way gives me access to your computer or any information about you, other than the data you choose to share.
You can choose to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer but this may prevent you from taking full advantage of a website.
